Thread: Oil pan tightening sequence....

Anybody has a picture/ diagram for the tightening sequence for a FWD sr20 oil pan??

I've gotta be honest, I don't tighten them in the order the FSM says. I just tighten the ones by the dowel pins first, just to get everything seated well, then continue on in no particular order. Unless you are doing head bolts, I don't see much point. But I always torque to spec.

On the bottom pan it doesn't make any difference really. Just tighten all the bolts down until really snug, and don't break any.

this is for a 96, i was actually looking in there to find torque specs on crank pulley.
