Can't shift..stuck
In a pickle and confused as to why my car can only catch 1st gear. Currently car is parked next to house. I was driving today and went to shift into second gear, it grabbed the gear then felt nothing at all. My shifter is very hard to move and now when my car is in nuetral it looks like its in 4th gear.
This is my new nuetral *SMH*

Any ideas what this could be. At first I thought it was my shift linkage but it looks fine to me. To get it to grab 1st I only have to move the shift like a milimeter, but moving it any other way is very hard. Throw out bearing? Just wondering why the gears are so different in relation to the shifter now?

Id say your engine is leaning on your linkage on the back - pop the hood, move the stick shift, and get someone to see if the engine's moving. if so, your rear motor mount is loose or broken. Happened to me in a parking lot once, turns out 2 of my bolts were barely holding the mount to the engine.

Check the shift linkage. Pop off that shift knob and boot thing and see what you can see right there. Looks like someone was slamming gears.... HMM! hah

Lol. I jacked it up and linkage looks good. Yes, I was slamming gears. Will be checking mounts tomorrow when there is light.

Rear trans mount, have some one pull forward on the motor and see Wat happens. I just pick up a 200 and the bolts broke off in the trans and it looks the same.

Damn at work right now and was hoping for an easy fix tomorrow. Hopefully I have no broken bolts in my trans.
