It has been leaking slowly for a while and the trans is still full of oil, so I don't think it is the trans.

That shifter boot is sold in a 'revision set' @ Nissan AFAIK. Still have to get it, somehow, but the leak is very similar to mine and after 15000 miles still a full tranny.

Do what will said or try my method . Looks like a lot of seepage from the rack. Get a few cans of brakleen and a scrub brush of some sort and go to town most of the time the brakleen will take it right off with out the brush . Then drive it for a week and see what u have . If the rack is seeping it not bad but not nothing to worry about yet unless you see fresh drips . It's prob a good idea to flush the power steer fluid . Your trans shifter gasket can be replaced on the car but its tricky . The dizzy gasket is cake to do . Also when u replaced the valve cover fast did u aply a dab of silicon to the corners behind the dizzy ? Sorry that's a dumb question .

I guess I'll just continue this thread as more oil leaks surface. Here's the latest, it would appear to be coming from the oil pump. Is there a usual culprit for a leak coming from this side?

Oil pump? That looks like the power steering pump. The oil pump is inside the engine.

Hum...I should edit that out of my previous post, I guess I didn't look hard enough at the haynes manual as to where the oil pump actually was. OK. Not the oil pump. Any likely places the oil may be coming from when it runs down the power steering pump?

From the look of it, that bolt in the lower right corner of the pic is a banjo bolt, which has 2 copper gaskets on either side. The leak is coming from 1 of 3 places:

1. The copper gaskets are leaking and need to be replaced
2. The line is leaking where the rubber meets the brass section
3. The pump itself is leaking and you should simply replace the pump

3 is the most likely from the look of things.

When my b14's leak from the power steering pump area it is the copper gaskets, I just got another set of them from greg v I don't remember the exact price but both were under $5, I would take some fine sandpaper to the mounting flames of the line to make sure there is no rust

I'm probably going to go VE in a few months, so I might just let this drip for now and top it off as needed. Do VE engines typically come with the power steering pump? Also, do they use the same pump as a DE? Thanks for all the help on this.
