Oil leak pic, need diagnosis
Updated on Post #14, although the info in this post is still relevant.

I found an oil leak on my B13 today. The pic is below. There was oil all over the shifter rubber boot thingie where the shifter rod attaches to the trans. From there it looks like the oil caught the wind and splattered all over the LCA and ft sway bar. There are no drips in the garage, so I think it is only dripping while driving. Like an idiot I didn't check my oil level prior to my oil change today, so I don't know how much it has lost. Is there a likely spot it is emanating from when it drips here?

Possible cracked casing, or just peel back the shifter boot, clean off all the fluid and then just start shifting back and fourth and see if fluid comes out from the shift select shaft. Best to use green CRC brake clean and just wipe everything off, usually if its from a transmission leak, it'll just leak when it sits.

Shouldn't be the trans, it is a B15 trans that was put in about a year ago. I think it is an engine oil leak that is ending up there.

Was gonna say, is it engine or trans oil? That would help in finding out immensely.

Could be the trans. More info needed.

Honestly I would guess the trans fluid coming from the axle seal. But if it's oil you would know for sure.

After re-reading ShawnB's recent thread, I went digging around a bit and I found oil all around the dizzy. Pic below. I replaced the VC gasket about 2 years ago, so that should not be the issue, right? This should be the dizzy o-ring?

I think you might have two leaks. The first one I was going to suggest power steering leak like PEDRONX2k suggested.

Your second leak could be VC or distributor. Hard for me to tell.
