I have the JWT, which I clean and oil with K&N air filter cleaner/oil. I go about 50,000 miles between cleanings as recommended (and my oil reports have shown good filtration). Can I use the K&N supplies I currently have (plenty left) and does S&B really need to be cleaned every 6-12k miles?

Fairly legitimate question, depends on how old JWT Filter he had in mind. But yes if you take the time to read into it, research it, you will see what a powerstack is, etc. etc.

You guys will go out of your way to prove a point that is not what it is.

The pic you posted is not of an old JWT filter but of a filter for a 300zx and 300zx TT that has the mounting stand on the top of the filter because there is no other place to put the mounting stand.

Check out BPi Flow stacks (blox is a rip-off of them). They have a 3.5" model too. 4" might be pushing it with 6" diameter filters.

BenFenner pulled a newbie card on us by not searching first. Most people would end up replacing their pop charger filters with K&N ones, especially the ones that Serban used to sell, which don't have the power stack. So I can see where the confusion would come from.

I personally have one of those too, am planning on dynoing it vs the power stack one to see what the powerstack does.

Interested. Cash in hand.

The K&N air filter I have now does have that little PowerStack thing on it along with the shaped nipple on the inside. KNN-RR-3003

I am gonna end up getting a velocity stack shortly and a longer filter would be ideal.

Is this part number R0923 ? They make all sorts of different diameters, they can make pretty much anything.
