have looked at the pilot bushing. It would show if the input shaft was moving under load(axial).

yeah this is odd, on a B14 turbo making just over 400lbs of torque using a ACT unsprung 6 puck and extreme PP, this never happened. Car was used as a daily to work everyday and dragged on the weekends with 24.5x9.5x15 slicks, multiple 2-step launches, 1.8 - 60' times.

surprised no one has asked you if you have BOTH dowel pins AND the engine tranny plate?
