I really like the ash tray idea... Open the ash tray when you get out, close it when you get it. Though, now that it is posted up here I wouldn't do it...lol.

I say just go with a removable steering wheel, a steering wheel lock, or a good alarm..

I agree... To me and over night removable steering wheel is ideal. But personally I'm looking for something a little more simple for DD.

The ash tray is cool but I have a way better idea. And it's going to be pretty good I think.

I'm just going to pick up a nice alarm next time Best Buy has one on sale or on the open box table.

I've also seen a civic that had the switch leads mounted onto the slider for his seat. Unless his seat was in his exact spot on the rail, there was no fuel. Not sure exactly how he did it, and I imagine it would be a PITA getting the seat back in the perfect position every day...

he probably left it in the right spot and who ever went to steal it is more then likely going to move the seat for comfort...

I could see that working if you are a LOT shorter or taller than the average joe but someone who is going to steal the car isn't going to take time to adjust the seat unless they are WAY different than the person that normally sits in the car. They are just going to roll out as fast as possible.

Putting the switch in the trunk somewhere is a good idea. Its not in the cabin where most people would look for it and its a short wire run for the fuel pump too. Just sayin.

With a good alarm install you dont need anything extra. all of the alarms these days have multiple outputs that do anything you wish. So even if they find the alarm and rip it out the car will still not start. Like mentioned multiple times, if they really want the car they will get it.

I don't mean to be morbid or anything, but do you guys realize that your time and money would be far better spent on a lojack or whatever other GPS security system is available? I'f someone really want's your car, they are going to get it... unless you can track it.

Personally, if I was going to steal one of your cars, I would not even consider STARTING the motor. I would bring a truck and tow your car away in 14 seconds.
