I ran push fans on my old boosted b14 and had to wire up a switch to manualy turn on the fans when in traffic . I say go with the slim fans .I am runnig the mishimoto slim fans with a big koyo rad and have plenty of room in my b13. If you run a push set up on a stock radiator it will run hot .Go with pull set up period !

I do the same. I find I get better cooling with a single stock puller fan than with 2 slim pusher fans.

I´m planning to go and run 2 12 inch Mishimoto fans on my Koyo R1977 rad. I´m curious for your experiences up to now. I have Flexalites slimfans in a shroud now on the Koyo but I´m not convinced.
I run a header and CVT so underhood temps are high always. I live in the tropics at 1000 mts.

I'm also running the same 12'' mishimotos and stock shroud . My temps stay around 175-190* on a hot day in traffic switching the fans on and I see 150-170 on the highway ! And thats with a boosted motor . Plus I'm aslo runing a mazerrie electric pump and big koyo rad . If you run after market header I would wrap it to keep the temps down even more as the dont have heat sheilds . I would also highly recomend this when running a push setup as the back of the radiator is completly exposed the the header . Ive seen guys make flap doors on the mishimoto fan shroud to help pull air threw the radiator when driving on a pull set up .
