the bracket is a support for the intake mani....

the bad knock sensor was prob kicking your timeing way back... check your timing and see were it is @ now......

um, so whatever happened to the oil leak? did you check the upper oil pan? There's no gasket for it, the lower one yes (rarely used) rtv is usually used for both.

Ive got the same issue, oil pan is covered and I cant see leaks from anyhere else. Im getting ready to degrease the underside, warm it up and see where the leak is really coming from. I already got a lower pan gasket just in case. (Yes I plan on using one, especially since it was 70% off.)

Have you checked the oil pressure switch??? Thats where mines was leaking from. Bad part about it i dropped the oil pan for nothing. Lol

My problem was and is definitely just the seal on the oil pan. Going to fix it one of these days but its not losing enough oil for me to jump on it yet (maybe a cap full oil lost per oil change. Just a guess.)
