i agee i too have been thinking of that sort of remote air regulator type setup, would make life much easier

Haha yea I will let you know how it works out for sure. Probably be trying it in the next few weeks with just a manual hand valve then in the future maybe the electronic.

Remove the oil filter to access the bottom right bolt with the closed end wrench.
Unplug the IACV/AAC plug. Then lean across the intake mani from the drivers side
to access the bottom right bolt.

If you have A/C & power steering, also move the antifreeze over bottle to the fan area and reach under the AC/PS lines to access the bottom right bolt..

BTW, Ive removed both IACV and Air Regulator. I think the temp sensor is much worse. But, all three are a royal PITA.. Also, Lets not forget the great location of the knock sensor too.. That makes 4 problem pieces. I could think of others candidates too: replacing water pump, egr pipe alignment w/header, etc...

Lol, yea the temp sensor is a b*tch. I ALWAYS end up using vise grips to get it off. I've never once got a wrench to fit on it in any way lol.
