stumped on my1996 200sx se-r.e need a little help in regards of the intake manifold
I own a 1996 200sx ser. Platform has a stock intake manifold.while taking out the intake manifold support brace to change my knock sensor I heard and noticed something fall out the engine bay by the drivers side.it appears to be a black plastic cap for a vacuum port roughly 5/8 inner diameter.does anybody have an idea where this might have came from?car has egr.bone stock no mods performed besides intake exhaust and headers.thanks in advance guys.I try searching this forum and others and came up clueless.please help.thanks.

check your heater hose on the fire wall and make sure that small nipple has that port still on it.. Its the only thing i can think of that would look like a vacume cap

I checked the firewall as much as possible. Do you know the rough location of where this nipple could be?Thks in advance

It's where the heater hoses pass through the firewall into the cabin. Near the passenger strut tower, below your A/C lines.

There's one that's under the throttle on my highport, maybe its the same on yours?

Thanks bro. But this cap was bigger diameter.throttle body ports too small



Luke ima check on pass firewall Wednesday.ill keep everyone posted.thanks guys

I was looking for this nipple on Wednesday while i replaced my rear motor mount. No sight of it.will.check once weather is above freezing. Once again.do you have any pics on this location of the cap or if anybody does whop possibly has there motor out the car can snap a photo of it for me?
