I noticed that the bolt hole for the bracket that attaches to the tranny theres one 3/4'' away but no bolt holes for the bracket that i showed you above. could i drill new holes and put some lock nuts on the end and tighten the s**t out of it

It sounds to me like you should just get the correct bracket. Would that not solve all your problems?

order a new one from gspec. the brackets are different and there are two mounting holes on the frame rail. One is for a manual bracket and the other is for a auto.

They are 100% different. I converted my car to 5 speed and they are different.
