You need some TWM information and pics, comparisons if possible.

I drove Joe's car with the TWM and really, really liked it.

How about links to the respective companies web-sites? Prices? Recommended vendors? Links to other threads on the same subject? Yer' slackin' Jay, I expect more from my informational threads. And you cannot rely on "others." .......

I can't take a picture cause it's in the car, but I have had a stock shifter, a pacesetter, a B&M, and now a TWM. All I can say is that I have sold off all my B&M shifters and replaced them with TWM's in the SE-R, the P10, and now for the NX.

Voted with my pocket for what it's worth

I'm just gonna skip the rest of the options based on your research sir, and jump directly to the TWM for my Classic.

Gonna install that bitch myself as well.

I've had a stillen, a b&m, and an original smc(now pacesetter)

The stillen was shortrr than stick but still had the sloppy feel as the oem one
My white b13 had an original b&m in it, i liked the firm feel but i didnt care for the construction and how it sat incar
I swapped out my stillen in my black b14 for the smc, and let me tell you...it was super short, awesome, and was firm and sat like an oem one in the car...i later on installed a stabilizer bushing and cs bracket in both the b13 an 14 and it made both feel amazing, but i believe that the smc/pacesetter is a much much better shifter hands down...there is nothing out there shorter and more precise than that...if you come across one grab it before its gone, you wont regret it

Shawn,I appreciate the help on this.I was planning to start adding to it ,but you are too quick,LOL
You are much better at compiling these type of threads, for sure,so yours any oneone elses input is very welcomed..
In this particular case,I linked a member to this thread, only to find out that I had deleted the pics back when my post -nx-stolen-freakout occurred:o
So I returned the pics and bumped it to get it rolling again.

Again, thanks to you and anyone else who wants to help out.

As for my personal experience.I have driven with stock, stock ball modded, pacesetter,B&M and Joes car(which you also drove and said was a TWM)
Keep in mind ,I drive 20,000 plus miles a year in my B13...
I recently went from stock (B13) ball moved all the way up to pacesetter set to the shortest setting in my car.
I really cant tell the difference between them other than the pacesetter is like maybe 1/4 inch shorter height if that.Shifting feels the same.
My Conclusion
Stock=FREE....pacesetter=40.00-75.00 if you can find one.

When I drove (happynole)joes car at the convention,I never even asked about the shifter, because it felt exactly like my car currently(pacesetter adjusted as short as it will go).Until you mentioned it,Shawn,I didnt know he had a TWM or I would have maybe payed more attention to it...Like I said,if I had a blindfold on,I would not be able to tell that it was any different than mine.
I hear all these guys saying how superior they are and the price is over 100 bucks, which is rediculous,IMO.
My Conclusion
TWM=really similar in feel to pacesetter ,twice the price, but cool to say"I have a TWM shifter"

Tearoffguy has a B&M in his nx and I have driven it a bunch of times including autocrossing. It was on a B14 trans for a while and for the last few years ,B15 trans
It feels great too with the B&M knob, but as you can see in the pics I posted, the bend is not as much as the others. That puts the shifter towards the front of the car more(although very slightly). He likes it better,I am on the fence with that.

My Conclusion
The B&M is beefy as hell ,but the metal ball/socket setup will eventually rattle as it wears over time....The knockoff will rattle way sooner, and they can get pretty bad slop in them....(My current car had one in it when I bought it that had 1/16th play,up,down, side to side)

Overall,I think the stock modded shifter is the best value of all, obviously.
If you can tell the difference between it ,pacesetter and TWM,then I would recommend buying accordingly.
If you are a broke ass sentra owner, like some of us...take off the stock one and mod it.If its a B14 get a B13 stock shifter and mod it.
If you got the money to blow, buy whatever make you happy

I'm very happy to hear someone who's used a pace setter set on full short, and a stock one with ball moved all the way up, saying they can't tell the difference between that and a TWM unit. That makes things very easy for potential buyers/modders.

Hey I just found out that I had a smc short throw shifter in my SE-R. How do I adjust it for a shorter throw? Do I have to take it apart and adjust it? I'm kinda psyched about this find. I've owned this car for almost 4 years now and I just now found this out.

Yes, you have to remove the shifter completely to adjust it.

You will turn the fulcrum ball, and it will move up or down the shaft on the threads.
