Motor mount difference - Europe->USDM
I installed my Energy Kits years ago, full kits and did the front and rear motor mounts too on both my cars.
I've finally got hold of a cheap 3rd car with a rotten body for a low mileage engine to play with, and this means i've got the lateral mounts to hand.
At the time that i bought the energy kits, i bought the lateral mount kits (7.1106G) and i understand the the big solid donut is for the motor mount by the front cover, and the inserts are for the tranny mount.

Check the pics because i can't see how the tranny inserts are going to fit.
The small depression at the opposite side to the slit in the mount doesn't seem anyway deep enough for the two 'L's at the top of the inserts.
So do you guys have a different tranny mount??!
I seem to remember all the cutouts in the rear mount being perfect for the insert when i did that way back, or am i just being thick and you just squeeze these inserts in when you slide the mount in to its cradle by the battery...

Yeah, that's completely different. The B13 tranny mount looks like this:

Looks like you're gonna need Prothanes.

X2 but don't worry about it prothanes aren't much more expensive and they make a much improved difference over ES. I've owned both and take prothanes FTW any day!

Also I did sort of a write up on how to install them without a press (minus that passenger mount which I didn't get to before winter came). I will bring it over here one of these days so if you need it or anything lmk.

Thanks for the replies.
I used to have a GA16DE in the NX and just did a clutch on one a month ago, and the mounts in the pics remind me of exactly that, one for a B13/N14 GA16!
I'll check it out at the junk yard as i need a few bits.
I did buy 2 of the lateral mount kits mentioned above and was wondering if the solid donut in the second kit might fit in that tranny mount if i press it out (i have a 10tonne bench press now)... The bolt hole looks slightly offset in the tranny mount but central in the front cover mount so i'll need to check out the diameters and bolt offset, but as you say, Prothanes would be the obvious solution

Thanks

The one at the bottom is actually a GA mount, which I realized after spending 2 hours trying unsuccessfully to get it to fit on the SR tranny. They're both the same overall shape, but the arm on the GA is about an inch longer.

There were two DIFFERENT tranny mounts. Thi sis why the fingers of the insert do no tmatch one of them.

I don't know exactly but I THINK that the tranny mount is a smaller diameter than the front cover mount (pass side). I'm actually pretty sure it is now that I think about it more. The tranny and rear mounts are the same size but the front cover is larger.

Thanks for the replies.
Looks like i can save myself the hassel of looking at a GA mount then!
Pain in the butt that Nissan used 2 different mounts.
Thanks for the info on dimensions Danja.
Kind of leaves me in a bind for the moment...how unwise would it be to run the Energy front and rear, and lateral front mount, and leave the tranny one stock...
In it's favour, the tranny mount in the pic only has 79K miles on it.
I might see how cheap i can pick up a low mileage GA mount from the junk yard and see if i can press the bush from that intact with it's collar, and in to the tranny mount i have so i can use the inserts lol. Might sound like more hassel than it's worth but would save me the cost, then shipping and tax on Prothanes to Scotland

It's fine, that's actually how mine is right now with prothanes but opposite (front case mount stock) since I didn't get a chance to get that one in by winter. Even without that one it's a big improvement and haven't had any problems with that one being stock.
