Thread: G20t leather seat swap question

Hi Everyone- I am finally getting around to this project. I have a set of black p10 leathers and a spare set of b13 ser front seats.

I have dissembled the infiniti seat bottoms and have the skins off. I have the tops almost off, but I can't figure out how to get the two plastic grommets off that hold the head rests. These two circular pieces are preventing me from getting the skins completely off the top. I don't want to manhandle them too badly with some vice grips and ruin them. Is there any trick to getting these off easy?

With any luck, I will be able to do the same thing to the b13 seats tomorrow. I am going to have a friend weld the little extension from the g20 pan to my se-r pan before I reinstall.

Got the grommets off with the help of a friend. I will get into the se-r seats tomorrow. My g20 driver seat has a manual lumbar adjustment lever. Has anyone used this top portion of the g20 seat frame on the se-r frame?

All your doing is taking the G20 seat back and putting it on the SE-R rail. The seat bottom is also coming off the g30 seat with the seat pan and going on the SE-R seats rail. You shouldnt be taking skins off. You should be taking little metal circle things off. Thats about it. Seat back is 4 bolts two on each side IIRC.

Squeeze them. They will slide out/up that way
