JDM Swap Questions
Hey everyone. I just picked up a JDM highport DE for my NX. The DE is originally from an automatic vehicle. Build year on the engine is 1995.
I've read up on previous JDM swaps and everybody says to switch over all sensors. However there really isn't any commentary on equipment that might be usable.
Sensors I definitely want to swap over: Temp sensors, tps, distributor/sensors.
THere is some hardware that I wonder if it must also be swapped. Idle air control unit(A.A.C Valve, F.I.C.D Solenoid Valve), air regulator that is under the intake manifold, and the knock sensor.
My new JDM DE also comes with a bosch oxygen sensor. It looks very much like the USDM fat O2 sensor (three wires black, red, white). I looked at the numbers on the unit and it does share some digits with the O2 sensor on my 94 USDM lowport. The exhaust manifold also looks very similar to the USDM piece.
So if anybody has used the JDM idle air control unit, the knock sensor, the air regulator, or the JDM oxygen sensor please let me know. I appreciate any info that you can provide.
