I've read up into your problems, why not just run an entirely new read wire from the MAF to fuse box to ECU, as well as new +/- wires? Seems like the easiest way for a 100% fix..

thats what i'm going to be doing next week, new maf and new wiring. although you make it sound so easy, it surely wont be.
