Thanks

the sound and feel of my old S5 cammed de is sorely missed, until the N1 cam's kick on my VE . and the 30+ whp advantage ain't bad either

20v was the trim level on the primera (i.e the way se-r is to sentras/altimas) dont know what the redline is tho but i'm sure miko is around hear somewhere he'll chime in and fill up all the loose ends
personally tho i think the sleeper sound of a VE is nice but then those big cams hit and bye bye

you wont blow trannys with a ve unless you drive like a dick lol.

Sound?

I'm with Matt.

I love to rev the piss out of my DE, always have. Just bolt-ons, no cams, and it sounds terrific.

However, I do not care how great a (cammed or not) DE sounds. Without some sort of major build it will never touch a VE for power.

Not necessarily true. The POS B13 trannies can blow no matter how you careful you drive or how little/much power you have.

I have gone through two (2) B13 trannies with my DE only. It's got a handful of bolt-ons, but not even any cams. The first time it died was at 60K, totally stock car, no racing at the track on the street or otherwise, ever. No ragging on the car at all. No riding the clutch or keeping my hand on the shifter, nothing. Just normal, quick, spirited daily driving. Like what the car was built for in the first place.

If my tranny ever dies again, it will be replaced with a B15/P11 even if the original DE is still sitting in the engine bay.

NO MORE B13 bullsh*t, weak sauce, lame as hell, should have been a factory f*king recall, crapola trannies will ever be installed or rebuilt for my Classic.
