No spark...
Just got done with a motor swap, DE to DE, no spark now. I have no idea why. Coil, Ignitor or whatever that thing is next to the coil and distributor are all take offs from the old motor. Working when removed. Any ideas?

Have you checked the fuses?

Get an electrical tester and verify you are getting spark. If you do not have one of those remove each plug one by one, plug it into the lead and crank it and see if each spark plug sparks. If you see all 4 spark, than it is no spark.

If you do not see any of them spark, start to work your way backwards in the system one by one to eliminate the malfunctioning components.

I tested a spark plug on the valve cover. There is no spark there and the coil isnt sparking when you pull the coil wire out either.

Something to do with ignition then? You haven't pulled any relays or anything have you? Anti-theft system will do this as well.

Lol I was going to say check the coil plugs. I'm surprised it didn't pop any fuses.

Bypassing the engine and flywheel and putting power straight to the trans is brilliant! It probably bumps whp by about 10% because of less friction.

Glad you got it figured out and hope you are doing well. Happy New Year Blair!
