engine barely heats up in the cold
So about a month ago i finally got around to putting all my heater equipment back into my car since i stored it and found a few mouse nests inside the ducts and blower motor. Now with the added coolant and blower motor sucking heat from my engine, it doesnt take any longer to heat up really, barely more time, but it barely gets warm. And after 15min. of highway driving the engine goes down in temp all the way back down to the C. I was thinking about cardboard on the rad. Also, im using G20 heater core hoses in my NX. the stock ones had a bleeder for the coolant, and the G20 ones dont. Should i put a T in and try and bleed it? Maybee air in the heater core? I just want HOT heat. It get COLD in Wisconsin! Any thought/ideas?
Thanks

sounds like a bad t stat.

take out the t stat, use a hose and blow water into were the stat was and then blow water in threw the house out were the t stat was.

replace the t stat.

start the car, leave the rad cap off and let the water work its way out, squeeze the hoses as to burp the lines.

you should be good after that man.

stratton.

The thermostat is most likely sticking open a bit.
I'd replace that first with a good brand thermostat, like OEM Nissan.
I tried a low cost Stant (something like that), and it was cheap,
sometimes sticks slightly open, other times slightly closed.
Replaced w/ OEM Nissan and no problems, runs right at proper temp.
