Golden Eagle stopped having these head studs made quite some time ago.

What I bought were not original Golden Eagle head studs. A few sellers on E-bay claimed to have them in stock but there is some possibility they are selling cheap imitations! Luckily, I was able to get a full refund from E-bay.

Golden Eagle does custom work on SR20 engines so I tried to talk Bob into making head studs for the SR20 but there was not enough interest at the time. If enough people call/e-mail they may start production.

I ended up buying the Mazworz head studs, almost twice the price and overkill for my engine, but that's OK since I ended up with overkill on my DET head rebuild anyway.

Still have those pics? Please post them up so we can all see what those looked like.

I bought mine from a private guy who had bought them for his build but then canned the project. He had to repackage them as well for intl. shipping. I later on ordered another set for my brother in law (from another supplier) that came in original packaging. The studs looked the same however.

Since GE are unavailable....

What is the cosworth head studs part number? Im really starting to shy away from the ARPs, even though Gregv says he uses them too. Website to find them on? Or any better head studs?

Sorry, but I didn't keep the pics. The trouble with counterfeit fastners is that they look just like the original. You can't tell the difference until they fail.

What tipped me off was that the studs didn't come boxed in the original packaging, instead they came in a plain plastic bag, with photo copied Golden Eagle installation instructions and a packet of ARP lube!

If you have any doubts, contact Golden Eagle by phone and talk to Bob Woodcock. He was pretty helpful since they don't want their reputation ruined by counterfeits.

p/n 20002444. they are expensive and I am sure they are worth the money. Over 400 for head studs is a little excessive. I have seen them as cheap as 199 but were magically out of stock at all locations that had them at that price.

Cosworth studs are no longer made. They can no longer be found. I tried to get some before I went with the golden eagles and several places said they could get them and then replied back saying they cant because they are discontinued.

Your best bet is the Mazworx, I think the mazworx studs are 175 and they are very strong studs. Thats my next in line over the golden eagles.
