Thread: Noob Question

My car is throwing 4 codes...Three of which I know what they are.

First three are O2 Sensor, Rear O2 Sensor, and MAF related.

The last one, is the knock sensor.

I'm not 100% sure what the knock sensor is actually for, nor where it is located.

How easy is it, as well as how deep will I be digging into my pocket, to fix this? Install notes or a link to a how to if one exists (searched, no luck) would be much appreciated.

Knock sensor is located in back of the engine under the intake manifold.

under intake manifold and behind the radiator pipe that runs across, knock sensor is held by a bolt...pain in the ass for me when i replaced it, decided to take the engine out and replace everything i can..to other i've heard it was easy...

It's a single 10mm bolt. It looks kind of like a thick disc about an inch in diameter. I'm not sure how difficult the connector is. But, as indicated, it's on the back of the engine (between the engine and the fire wall). It's probably best to jack up the car and snake your arm up near the passenger side axle to reach it.
