Oil in distributor cap???
So the other day i noticed a burning oil smell from my wifes G20, i popped the hood and didnt see an oil leak on the exhaust, but i did notice there was oil on the bottom of the distributor cap.

about a year ago i replaced the dist. O-ring because of the same leak inside the cap.

Are there any other gaskets inside of the dist.???

i cant see any other gaskets and one year for a dist, gasket to fail is premature.

I do see what looks like a pool of oil at the bottom of the inside of the cap.

Should i look for another distributor? Or can a new O-ring stop the oil??

thanks guys!

did you replace it with an OEM ring?
I had that same problem and replacing the ring fixed it...

Time for a new dizzy. There is a seal inside that cannot be replaced. Its a common Nissan dizzy problem.
