Thread: Bad Injector?

My turbo b14 has been having an intermittent missfire on cyl #2. It seems to start happening once the motor is hot. The spark is fine. If I crank it without a plug in, I can smell no fuel from that cylinder, but I can in other cylinders if I do the same thing.

So I assume the injector is bad. Anyone have another suggestion? I suppose I could test for current going to the injector harness to make sure my emanage isnt doing something wrong, or bad wiring.

I'm running some old 370s from a 300zx. Guess it's time for an injector upgrade.

Will your in florida and I know there are alot of local guys with parts laying around. Find somebody with a set of good 370s in a rail and just swap it. I had the same problem and swapped the whole rail and it was good.

good call, Gainesville is so far from everyone else though. I'm the ONLY sr20 guy in the area that I know of. Maybe I can find someone on the forums selling individual 370s.

Rodney of course... thanks for the help guys, it turns out my injector clip was loose.... its strange, I haven't taken them off in like 6 years at least. My buddy and I were tapping on the #2 injector trying to get it to work. He looked at the clip and gave it a shove, and CLICK. Perfect everything ever since. Needless to say we took a spin on I-75 right away, lol. 1 Bar of pure joy, lol.

That's weird...And it's not like those just unclip on their own .

Its really weird. I wonder how long it has been loose on there? I did take the rail out for some reason like 4 years ago...
