Torn Axle Boot, what to do?
So, a few years ago I had my axles remanned. After a few hundred miles, the passenger side inner boot tore all the way around. I was in the middle of moving so I threw one of those stupid split boots on for the time being, it let some of the grease spoog out all over the place, but I have only put a few hundred miles on the car since then.

Now 4+ years later, I am getting the beast into shape again. The cv joints are fine, the car drives great, it just needs a new boot. Can I replace it like in this video? or is there more to it?

It is that easy to replace a worn or torn boot.

I just redid my axles a few weeks ago. Very dirty, greasy job but invaluable.

And all this time I have been thinking I needed a shop to press apart the joint or something, lol

its not even the bitchy snap-ring driver axle, this should be cake

If it were I, I would contact Greg V and get a Nissan OEM replacement. I used a Nissan OEM replacement when I did both axle inner boots.

I dunno if he has them in stock right now, but I know he can order them and get them relatively quick. Usually it takes 2-3 days for him to receive a part he ordered unless it has to come from Japan.

My dad works at a Nissan dealership and it takes usually 2 days for any part to arrive. I just bought the boot kits a few weeks ago, took two days to come in.
