Weird issue with SAFC II and Remote Start
Anyone here have remote start and also running an SAFC II? I've had remote start installed for a few years but only put in the SAFC II this summer. I've never had any issues with the remote start system, I get in the car, turn the key and step on the brake pedal and drive off, ZERO ISSUES.

Now I go to remote start the car and it cranks fine an idles normal. When I get in the car and try to drive off, the car is basically in limp mode. The rpm won't pass 2,000 RPM and the car basically doesn't want to move even with the gas pedal to the floor.

As soon as I shut the car off and restart it's normal again and I have zero issues. It seems like the SAFC is causing the issue but I don't know WHY. I had my settings on 6 in 6 out and 1 in and 1 out but it made no difference..

Not to be rude but I already know the issue is because of the SAFC, I need to understand WHY it's causing the problem..

i hear ya.... whatr i think is that....when the remote start is on and car is running....the ignition isnt in the ON postion -keeping the safc off? and not letting the MAF signal to PASS thru it? keeping it in limp mode...if thats makes sense?

orrr umm ....hmm thats weird...

maybe try bypassing the MAF wires going thru the safc,so the safc is on-powered but NOT altering the maf signal? (not connetced to mafs in and out wire))
