Thread: Nissan self learning ecus

I hear that Nissan uses a self learning ecu. What does this mean exactly and how is this advantageous over other ecus from other manufactures?

Lets say you Reset your ECU, your ECU had remembered from previous driving fuel curves for MPG and other things. When you reset the ECU it has to relearn the maps that were deleted...

yeah thats what it is. If you reset it your ecu takes logs of your first 50 starts and avarages your fuel curves and everything till you have one
