Yes they did. Made a custom mount out of metal that he could change the height/mounting location of the rear mount so he still had the full length of the shifter but it sat lower inside the car like a miata.

Oh, so you want to also replace the other shift bushing up front. That's cool. Get that too then. I assume you've found that part easy enough?
If I recall, people have had a hard time finding the other round rear bushing that goes on the end of the shift lever. If you can't find that one I wouldn't be surprised.

You know... Some washers under the rear stabilizer mount ought to accomplish a similar height change if one were so inclined.

Link no longer valid...doesn't look like Murray's is an ES vendor any more.

Yah, I noticed they stopped carrying some/all of the GoFastDepot stuff. Or they changed the part numbers on me making them almost impossible to find.
I'd recommend searching the actual ES part numbers ("9.5101" for black and "9.5101R" for red) at places like Summit/JEGS and Amazon, etc.

Edit: Of course, G-spec has them too. Thanks Dave.

Damn, looking at ancient threads like this reminds me how much of a noob I was lol

Hard to believe this was about 5 yeas ago.

Well, also coincidental is that I just recently installed this having held onto it for 5 years. I have a 3" exhaust and didn't need to remove the exhaust to install it (nor a short shifter). It helped to move the exhaust off a few exhaust hangers though. Just gotta remove the heat shield.
