I am very curious of the legal recorse ekool has on the content on that site. Someone needs to find out. He is basically selling our information to advertisers right? I say this because without our information the site is wasted webspace. Its like writing a book and somebody else publishing it and profiting.

I agree. I'm not a copyright lawyer or an expert on intellectual property matters, but I believe that the authors of the messages have the right to use it wherever they want to, even for money. I do not remember agreeing to terms or anything that said anything I write on the site becomes the ownership of the site. But then it becomes, who is the 'user'?? Is it the IP address of the post or the username or what, but that gets into more complicated issues..

I'd say that as long as you authored the message, you have free reign over it and can do whatever you want with it. You also do not need to address the former site because it is your work. Now, if you pull anything from the site that's not yours, you should link to it or mention where it came from.
