SR20-Forum Members... Note of Advice, C.Y.A.
I know that we are in the middle of transferring things over from the motherland. But one word of advice... If we do bring information over to this site - we need to make sure to site the original source if we can (aka post the link somewhere). I know, I know - even though you may have written it over at the other forum... I don't want that ekool egangster to have ANY sort of legal excuse to hurt or hinder the community as a result from a stuipid claim of copywrite infringement or something else he now has rights to.

As soon as I get a chance I'm going to cite any of the write ups that I have copied over... save them on my HD. This doesn't mean that you all have to...

Again, This isn't a bulletin, just something I thought of when I read this...

It's just a thought, I always follow the "cover your ass" approach when I can.

Just re-write the posts, even if you didn't post it to begin with, copyright only covers exact content.. change 30% and it's no longer under copyright. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Doesn't matter if you delete your posts over there. All they have to do is go to the backups and restore.

Ok, I will probably just site it anyway... seems easier than changing up an entire post u know?

Interesting... I'm more concerned w/ covering our boody's anyway, I guess I should have stressed that more. I may not delete them, but I will definitely back them up on my HD. Thanks B.

Just trying to look out for us and avoid conflict.

I thought that might have been the case. But then I've seen Justin, 99 SE-L, mention that it's our content because we wrote it.

I don't want to rewrite my writeups, so if all comes to worse, I will cite my work, which seems crazy

this is good advise. i always thought it was "property" of the original poster. not the site owner. but then again we went from a little nook in the corner of the intrawebz to a corporate money pig $$

Don't let that stop you, make them work for your information.
If they bring it back, delete it again

OUr policy is posted in the how to sections. Please only bring over write-ups that YOU did and copy them. Don't delete anything that was on SR20forum please.
