Thread: Service Engine Soon Light Code P0400

Turned on my car today and the service engine soon light came on. Scanned my car and got the code P0400 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Flow Malfunction.

I know this deals with the EGR system, but is this something that needs to be addressed right away ? Or can I still drive my car around without it suddenly breaking on me ?

I had that just recently, you can still drive the car, a lot of people actually just block off the egr system. My problem was that one of the rubber lines to the BPT valve had rotted completely in half, cost under a dollar to fix so I would start there
