Switch on accelerator pedal

Hey guys I need some help with this one. I've tried to get information on this from the service manual but I haven't had any success with this. Does anyone know what this switch is used for ? It has 3 wires on the lug connected to it. 1 plain black wire going into a section on the lug and 2 white wires each with a black stripe going into the other section.

Process of elimination... what deals with the accelerator pedal?

-cruise control
-ecu to read wot?

No cruise control, I'm guessing option 2 but not sure.
