Se-r with an sr20. What could cause bad gas mileage???

What header do you have? Mods? It could be a ton of things. Any other symptoms?

Click on "Low gas mileage"

Running gas will cause bad gas mileage. Switch to Diesel and all problems will be fixed....

Stock headers. No mods except for accent lights and a system. And whenever I get on the gas, you can see the needle go down.

Sounds like a fuel level sender issue to me.
Or maybe your fuel gauge is borked.

heavy right foot and boost can do it too.

I think the VE might have something to do with it. That is if you have a VE like your forum name states.

Have you done basic maintenance?

How many miles are you getting on a tank? How much are you then putting in to fill the tank?

How about you actually calculate your mileage for a tank or two so you know that you have a problem? Just seeing the needle move when you get on it is not very good evidence.

Sorry to sound like an ass, but there is no point in trying to fix a problem that does not exist.
