Make sure you check the oil ports on the rods and the crank. In those 4 miles it had managed to completely destroy the oil port on rod 2. Also, what looks like the reason for the bearing failure? Mine was due to oil starvation - I took no chances, and put in a new oil pump. I'd hate for you to swap out the bearings and then find out after you get it running that there was more damage than you thought.

Which bearings you putting in? I went with a full set (main, rod, and thrust) of Clevite's.

About 2.5-3K. It's sounds worse with the chain rattle and all. It's really not that bad.

I'm going to drop in 10W50 today and a quart of Lucas and see what it does. I mean I still need a car until I get the VE Miko.

Well I have been only as high as 3.5K since the time I found out. And seeing that my ride to work is mostly highway 4K @ 70MPH is fine I hope.
