No, but will install it this evening. It will be the original MAF that came with the car, I switched it with a different one when I had similar problems. It turned out that it wasn't MAF related, but the adapterplate of the cheap-ass conical air-filter was blocking the airflow. Never switched back the original MAF.

These threads have been coming up since the mailing list days, its almost always a grimy throttle body causing the idle to drop when the throttle slams shut.

Okay, I tried cleaning the TB today. Gonna see if I get some results tomorrow.

It still doesn't explain why it would die when applying full throttle.

I had this problem in 1999 on my 1998 Sentra SE, and now on my 1991 SE-R. last week my throttle seemed to be sticking, I guess I will have to clean my tb, I also have a spare MAF laying around. Perhaps (one at a time) cleaning my tb, IACV regrounding my MAF and perhaps replacing my MAf I will find this problem nixed...
