I thought I would update my situation. Since putting in the used MAF, my problems have been significantly reduced. However, I would still get a rough start/idle and very occasional stalling issues. Nothing like it was with my old MAF. Thinking that the used MAF might not be 100% and hence the lingering issues, I tried two different reman'd MAFs from Cardone. Both of them made the rough starts much worse and increased the stalling.

Today I put the used MAF back in and regrounded the MAF to the intake manifold with the ECU grounds. I also cleaned the contacts on the MAF ground wire connector I put in several years ago when I unsuccessfully tried to reground it. I also checked the ECU today (could they have put the screw to check it in a worse place?!?) and I got 5 long and 5 short flashes indicating normal operation.

So after putting in the old MAF, regrounding it, and resetting the ECU the car had a really nice start/idle. However, past experience tells me that this is a sign of nothing. I'm curious what the ECUs tell the others with this issue.

Here's a pic running CalumSult:

Anyone notice anything odd (except the high idle)?

Also, haven't been able to check for codes, I forgot yesterday. I don't have NDS yet, and I'm not sure if you can do that with TunerProRT.

EDIT: Obviously, I'm running idle. RPMs skitter a bit, as wel as timing, inj. time and Duty Cycle.

Why don't you data log with TunerProRT? It will give you much more information.

Want to, but damn laptop battery only lasts 5 minutes, and a 12V-230V should be coming my way.

What do I have to do, while logging? Just drive around?

So, to give you guys a big update:

The stalling has gone away, but it's probably something cold-related.

However, the engine runs pretty rough, with quite some noise. Almost sounds like misfiring. I have a few openings in my exhaust (flanges not sealed properly), and instead of a steady "putt-putt-putt-putt", I get more or less a "putt-putt-wrop-putt-wrop-wrop-putt-putt-putt". It almost sounds like only every second "putt" escapes through the openings in the exhaust. I'll see if I can make a vid of it tomorrow.

Changed sparkplugs, wires, rotor and cap. When she's cold she still runs irregularly, a little less when warm. According to Nissan DataScan, the IACV still works.

Would regrounding/cleaning the MAF have any effect?

the put put wrop put, put put wrop put, if that was the case was the first sign of my engine the rod bearings where on its way out. Turned out to be all 4 / 8 fubared, one with damage, one with heat signs and two so worn, it made the whole engine run unbalanced.

Since my post on Feb 11 when I replaced and regrounded my MAF, all of my issues have disappeared. I have not had a single hint of my previous issues, so mine was 100% MAF-related. Give it a whirl as it doesn't take long to try and hopefully it solves it so you don't have to worry about rod bearings.

I can hardly imagine it is idle control doing this.

Since I heard your car running IRL, all I can say I heard a lot of mechanical sound that my car had too, after the bearings, chain started to act up (it says 'skriee!! @ 5000rpm'

Do you have a recording closer to the engine? Also put a long screwdriver between your ear and somewhere on the engine, look for the same metal noise that is audible in the vid you have posted.
