Thread: just finished my clutch job and i think i made a mistake

So, i just got the tranny bolted back up to the block and was under the car putting the starter back on and guess what i saw...the flywheel because I forgot to put the thin metal plate in between the tranny and the block.....

can i get by without that plate or am i doomed and have to take it back out?

Im going to kick myself in the arss....

put it back on asap

please put the plate back on!! its important.. the pressure plate can make contact with the bellhousing if you dont.

I will, i have never forgot to put it back and for some stupid reason i did this time. Someone slap me....

another thin to always chek is your dowell pins..

well we all fuck up somtimes jus make sure you dont forget next time

I don't think he means the spacer between the block and tranny I think he means the little door that faces out by the cross member. I ran without that thing on a lot of cars. no bigs/
