Couple things to check:
1. Check that all plug wires are connected/seated to the dizzy properly.
2. Open the Dizzy and check for cracks on the cover. Also check for any oil at the bottom of the dizzy.
....If oil found at the bottom of dizzy, your internal seals are wearing out, so you must swap out the dizzy.
3. As mentioned earlier, Test the TPS signal at the ECU harness (could be different)..
4. Check your PCV & PCV hoses, and header & downpipe for leaks.
5. With car running, Spray your wires with fine mist of water; look for arching. Then spray around the intake mani and listen for a change in idle (idle changes = leak).
6. Test the AAC, knock sensor and temperature sensor resistance per FSM spec.
7. Finally, Test the MAS voltage with car running per FSM spec.
Im thinking its probably your MAS. If the grounding caused other problems, you have either a bad MAS or used the wrong wire when trying to ground it.
