Thread: Is this a SR18 or SR20 Tranny?

Actually now i look at it, that is a odd box, it has the late model fins on the front, which would imply its a later post 96 box, but is cable clutch. If it was LSD, then i'd say its a VZR box, or maybe a autech N15 box.

looks like a 99 p11 tranny.

I'll also add that early models N14's (generally) had only 2/3 holes where the cable holder braket bolts on, later model N15 boxes have 5 holes there (4 tapped one large centre hole).

Its definintely an open diff though (could have a mechanical upgrade, but you'd have to look into the shaft holes to confirm. If you see a cross pin its open, if there's no corsspin its got an aftermarket LSD)
