what is this fuse?
Under the hood in the box to the left of the battery... I am missing a fuse in the 8th spot from the bottom. It is marked "7.5A ENGINE CONT" What is this fuse for? Any reason why the previous owner would have removed it??

what color is the wire coming out from that terminal? If it's R/B is for your alternator, if it's LG it's the major power reference supply for control relays. Either way it's necessary. If your car works and charges without these fuses, you've got some wire hacking somewhere that's going to be nasty and full of trouble.
Also, I'd highly recommend downloading the FSM we have here for your car so you can trace the wires and figure these things out that way. You'll find alot more info alot quicker that way rather than waiting for us to do the same.

I guess it has to do with something about a hot wire touching ground.. Does it keep blowing? I guess maybe that's why it's just out because maybe it kept blowing

It's late now and I work in the AM, so I'll have to check it out after work... Everything is running fine and there are no CEL... I can't see any obvious wire hacking either, all of the wiring appears to be stock.
There are multiple fuses throughout the car that are 7.5A 'Engine Control' Fuses... I'm sure each does a different thing.. fml. I'll start looking into it tomorrow, I only noticed it because my dash lights are out... (but blinkers and tails work, i know some people have had issues with them being all on the same circuit, so I'm a bit stumped at the moment being all my wiring under the dash looks good).

I'm missing the same fuse on my car, but mine only has a contact on one side of the fuse, and no wire leaving it,
.
I had a problem with my dash lights at one point, it ended up being the dimmer switch contacts were loose, I zip tied the wires to the switch problem solved, or you could replace the plug going into the switch

Thanks for the input about the dimmer switch. Will Pull it tomorrow. If needed, can I just strait run the wires and avoid the dimmer switch all together? I always stay full brightness anyways.
& Mike, I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. I will look at the contacts tomorrow, as well as do some more research on this fuse. I just quickly saw I was missing the fuse, and right away thought it meant trouble.

Thanks guys! Opened up the dimmer switch and cleaned the contacts (dont know it this was the issue or not but did it anyways), and reseated the pins into the plug, and my dash lights are working again!
