I am doing 225/35/17 which is 23.1 in Dia

225/40/17 would be about 24.2 which is very tall for a B13 perfect for a B14 on big boost

Yeah, that's what I'm worried about.
The biggest I've seen on an NX are 215/35/18's bolted to a show (albeit street driven) car which is 23.9in diameter.

I'm mainly just after the larger sidewall for a bit more initial bump absorbion, and a 225/35 will have more or less the same sidewall as my current 205/40's.

I just wonder if its doable with spacers/offset and some guard rolling...

you are not doing your reading.

There is someone here that has 15x8 all the way around with 225/45/15 on the back. with no spacers.

Actually I have read that post. I stumbled upon it and was shocked that you can fit 225's on an NX. Hence my posts in this thread.

But, 225/45/15 only comes to 23.0 in diameter, which in over an inch smaller than what I'm contemplating....

I know of a few people (including myself :-P) that run 215/45/16s which is a 23.6 in diameter and there is more space to play with in the front... the rear is pretty tight

how about we just borrow so info and not mess around with tape measures

http://www.949racing.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=1
15" 6UL fitment info
15x7.5 +34 5.25" backside setting
15x8 +36 5.875" backside setting
15x9 +36 6.25" backside setting - requires cutting fenders, flares and/or spacers on most cars.
