Transmission grinding while in gear....clutch?
So after replacing my bad rear motor mount the transmission has a grinding sound while I am accelerating in gear. It goes away when I push the clutch in. I've come up with a few things I think it might be:
1)Bad input shaft bearing. (how often do these fail?)
2)Bad throwout bearing (makes lots of noise while sitting in neutral)
3)Bad spring on clutch disk, possibly rattling around.
I plan on buying a clutch kit this weekend and starting there with new bearings. Best thing to do at the moment?
