Thread: Aftermarket Body Parts

So the other day I meet up with Americo, we were just BSing and we opened the hoods on our B14s. The hood on my B14 seemed to weight a whole lot more than the other cars hood. His hood was OEM and mine was an aftermarket. I haven't had a chance to weight it yet but I'm sure it was a good 25lbs more than an OEM hood....



Just FYI, I'm bored at work and was thinging about this.

Wouldn't surprise me.However,I would have guessed the opposite...like the aftermarket would be lighter and flimsier,but maybe not.

I had a Z32,and the first couple years came with aluminum hood from the factory.
All the aftermarket and later models were steel.
