Thread: 92 SER High idle?

I still am yet to register my car and get it on the road. But I noticed today while running it in my garage for a few seconds that I'm idling around 1600-1700rpm. This seems quite higher than any car I've ever had in the past. Is this normal? Any suggestions?

does it settle down any after warming up? Mine idles at 1600 or so if its the first time I started it all day but then settles down in like 1-2 minutes.

Very possible. I haven't registered it yet, and its sitting on E so I can't take it around to find out yet. But I'm glad to hear that. Hopefully mine will be the same way.

Yeah I believe for a cold idle thats fine but if it does settle down as it warms then you need to adjust and check some things.
