just hit 150k the other day..new clutch in at 136,xxx
shifter jerks around when feathering throttle in reverse..not so much in forward gears..


do they make prothanes for the 1.6?

Yep. Just search Google for Sentra 1.6 or GA16DE prothane.

i was hopin it wouldnt be a mount..lol

what about the shifter linkage? could worn bushings cause any of this?

it was the motor mount bracket btw..guy who did my motor mount at the time told me a bolt broke off in the tranny so it wasnt there..

*didnt put 2 and 2 together about that until i was under the car and saw the bracket was ripped in half (after it finally gave out from flexing back and forth with all the torque) ..then it dawned on me..lol

but yea, at the time i replaced the front and rear motor mount inserts with prothane ones..havent had time to do the side or tranny mount ones yet..

That's a good way to loose your motor and then you car.

crossmembers FTW lol

same thing happened to my buddy in his civic and his oil pan smacked and dragged on the ground til he came to a stop..lol (no crossmember in his car)

My god....lol...you have any idea how dangerous that is.

well his broke and he stopped right away and got it towed home and fixed it..i guess honda doesnt put crossmembers in their cars?

mine broke pulling out of mavis (just got new snows) and i hobbled it down the road (in 1st gear..fml) down to my buddys shop where i fixed it as soon as i got the new bracket..
