BTW with either header, the egr thread might be different, it's hit or miss with both. I just eliminated my egr and hammered a quarter into the egr bung on the header.
so that's the only "mod" i'd have to do..other than that everything else is a straight bolt on..the header should be here tomorrow
i didnt read the entire thread..but i have a hotshot header for the 1.6..probably one of the best mods ive made..they arent made anymore and are kinds hard to find..but sooo worth it!

yeah i had the header put on yesterday.it sounds sweet! lol very smooth and clean..pics will be up sometime later today..and i did see a performance increase also
also link me to the exact one you bought if you could. I plan on doing this instead of buying a 60 dollar flex (mid pipe) and getting a little more ponies out of this slug for 20 more.
