just wondering if the noise stops when coasting in nuetral with the clutch pressed in ? I just rebuilt my boy's b15 tranns with the same symtoms . It was the main shaft bearing on the bellhousing side . . Grab the shaft and see if it has play up and down . If soo i would keep the trans and put a new bearing in it for a spare its fairly easy to do

the noisre was in gear....and outa gear....moving/rolling in and outa gear....would get quiter when out gear, but still there....

idk shit about trans stuff so idk what shaft this may be...im gonna open up the gear side and see if anything looks off....or grinded down, like i found all the metal peices on the drain plug...

when i spin the part that goes into the clucth by hand....i can feel marbles rooling around inside...

before i took the trans out,i put it on jackstands and drove it in the air and felt the trans as the wheels were spinning and it was definetly from the gear side....

the gear selector thing on the back of the trans feels weird to me...usually in neutral, you have left and right action with some ,resistance /springyness to it that move it back to center...it only goes on way.... idk cant explain it

ill post pics of carnage if any later today

Sound like bad bearing(s). You could probably repair it if you know someone with a press. Might get lucky and it only be the final drive bearing. Then you have a back up tranny. YAY!

pedro that shaft the clutch rides on if you can wiggle it up and down then the bearing is toast ! like i said i would keep it and replace the bearing its about a $30 part . It should take you about 1-2 hours to take it apart and fix it . G/L

wel li took the tran apart....ugh soo much shit going on inside of there...i never want to do that again...i have no idea whats wrong with it ...

but before i took the casings apart,as i spin the shaft that comes from the center of the TOB i can hear and feel the grinding...not even in gear as well...

i open it up...and all teeth look good...cant find or see anyting wrong, and when i engage diff gears the gringding is still there...it seems like its coming from the bootom of the gear stacks shaft that goes into the clutch???but i am no fucking transmission expert...thats why trans shops get paid BANK for that shit

im hoping to meet up with SQUIRLZ from madison so i can grab a good tranny from him...awaiting pics and a phone call...pm replied

I havwe a b13 tranny that the mounting holes are broken. It worked fine when i pulled it its just no way to bolt it in with the case. if you have a good case you have a good case you would swap the internals from my tranny in .Pm me if you think its something you want to try, If not i will keep it for a spare to swap wen mine goes.
