so i think its my trans.....
last 4 days im hering and feeling sort type of noise tha im sure is from the transmission....some info here

http://www.sr20-forum.com/suspension/36923-strange-sound-decel-accel-mostly.html

and no wthe sounds is louder and more constant....

---this noise is only when---
-car is moving,wheels are rolling...
-in 2,3,4,5th gear...
- at any rpm

now this noisr and vibration i feel it in the gas pedal and clutch pedal and shifter base.....

if i stick my head outa the window i can hear it ...sounds like somthing is resting on gears inside the trans?

waht the f could it be?

motor mounts and shifter businga are good....

What kind of gear lube? When was last change? Possible wheel bearing?

I was thinking wheel bearings also. Go down a hill out of gear and then in gear with no gas.

Stratton.

all right i know wy right front wheel bearing is bad cuz i can SHAKE the wheel n see it move...nnn not good... and bal joints are bad too....but i swear it feels like in the trans...

i will try that tho stratton....

could anything internally in the trans rest on or be touching the gears while driving?

would a bad throw out bearing make any type of noise?

my clutch feels fine....still catches great....

maybe this too

hey hope everything works out with this (yeah i still troll around, lol). just to let you know if since it was posed, there are definitely 2 dowel pins installed from when i had the clutch done, and i put mt-90 in, too. and i can say that i didn't do wheel bearing or ball joints while i had it. but you can already tell that. nice ,yeah i trolled in your thread and read that about the dowel pins...had me mondering cuz i really think its somthin resting on the gears or flywheel....as the car rolls faster-not in gear it still makes this noise /vibration.....

but the balljiont ands bearings are bad....for sure...................
i feel like ill try this before i tear off the trans.which i do not want to do.

i put the car in the air, put in gears and AIR DROVE,lol

and the noise was still there, and ive confirmed by my findings its the trans.

Get a good condition b13 tranny and swap it in. No reason to take yours apart.

Stratton.

I think you need to take it on a road and pull it out of gear and see if the noise continues. If it does I DOUBT it's the trans unless it's the diff.
