If them hoses under the intake in back leak from...say a pinhole...it is possible that it evaporates or drips on the hot motor or exhaust and turns to steam faster than it can hit the ground.
I hae had that happen on a high mile DE before.
It is a royal pain to change them hoses when the motor is in,unfortunately
I have also had an NX radiator with a pinhole stress crack on top that would also push out a drop every couple minutes when under pressure.It was evaporating quickly too.
I just happenned to be standing there once when it"pushed out a drop"
