Thread: Loosing coolant?

I performed the test right after getting home from work at 5 in the afternoon with 2o minutes of driving. So that should eliminate the start up kind of smoke. the smoke is not heavy at all. i had to look directly at the exhaust pipe and look for any smoke. only a puff now and then would come out and the ground had a small wet spot right under it.

I will remove the spark plugs and see what they look like.

Ok, so I pulled the spark plugs and they all seem to look good. they don't have that "clean" look and don't smell like anything. they are kinda white, but basically normal ware.

I looked under the car and found no leaks. except for one. a hose clamp for one of the turbo lines right by the turbo was loose and leaking some coolant. so I tightened it down and it fixed the leak.


However, this does not solve the problem with water coming out my exhaust. after all day and maybe 30 miles of driving, I don't expect there to be any more moisture in there.
